EP22 | T.R. - The Old Wharf Stanley

Over one hundred years ago, photographer Herbert J. King captured Stanley's bustling waterfront, with a sailing vessel tied alongside the timber wharf beneath the towering presence of The Nut. In this episode of *Tasmania Rediscovered*, I return to the same location to recreate Herbert's photograph and discover what has changed—and what has remained remarkably unchanged. The clipper has given way to modern yachts, the Bay View Hotel has evolved over the decades, and the old Van Diemen's Land Company Store has found a new purpose. Yet through it all, The Nut continues to watch over Stanley, just as it has for centuries. Join me as we compare Stanley's waterfront across more than 100 years through the lens of history and photography. 📍Location: Stanley, Tasmania If you enjoy Tasmania's history, heritage photography and exploring remarkable places through time, I'd love to have you subscribe and join me for future episodes of *Tasmania Rediscovered*. #TasmaniaRediscovered #StanleyTasmania #TheNut #HistoricTasmania #ThenAndNow #HerbertJKing 📌 About Tasmania Rediscovered: Tasmania Rediscovered revisits locations photographed by Herbert J.
