A large barbecue featuring brisket, rump, sirloin, ribs, pork loin, and chicken took place at a Traditions Center called Porteira Aberta, in the town of Dois Irmãos, in southern Brazil, in September 2025. The region, whose inhabitants are known as "gaúchos," is famous for its passion for barbecue, a true institution. It was a Saturday night of celebration. The event, part of Farroupilha Week, which honors local traditions, included a dance and graduation ceremony for children and young people who dedicated themselves to the typical dances of gaucho culture. More than 500 people packed the organization's warehouse to enjoy moments of fellowship, drink chimarrão, and especially a top-quality barbecue. Interestingly, the town's population is primarily made up of descendants of German immigrants.
