🚉 Basic Overview Line: Keio Electric Railway Keio Line (Shinjuku to Takaosanguchi direction) Location: 5-29-52 Sakurajosui, Setagaya Ward, Tokyo Opened: April 28, 1926 (Taisho 15) (Originally named “Kitazawa Shako-mae Station”) Access: Approximately 10-11 minutes by express train to Shinjuku Station. 🏙 Station Features The north exit side of the station once housed the Sakurajosui Inspection Depot and Factory, with a history of occupying a large site. 🌸 Surrounding Neighborhood and Lifestyle The area around the station is a quiet residential neighborhood. Supermarkets, convenience stores, pharmacies, and other amenities are within walking distance, making it highly convenient for daily life. The name “Sakurajosui” is said to originate from the cherry blossom trees lining the Tamagawa Josui canal that once flowed nearby. You can still find spots to enjoy this charm in spring.
