Takaosanguchi Station is the terminal station of the Keio Takao Line operated by Keio Corporation, located in Takao-cho, Hachioji City, Tokyo. It is known as the gateway and closest station to Mount Takao. 🚉 Station Basic Information Location: 2241 Takao-cho, Hachioji City, Tokyo Line: Keio Takao Line (Terminal Station) Opened: October 1, 1967 The station building was renovated in 2015 based on a design by Kengo Kuma, featuring a design that harmonizes with nature through extensive use of wood. 🗻 Access to Mount Takao Mount Takao (599 m) is easily accessible from central Tokyo by train in about 50-55 minutes, making it a popular hiking and nature spot within the city. From the station, it's about a 5-minute walk to Kiyotaki Station of the Takao Tozan Cable Car/Railway. From Kiyotaki Station, take the cable car (approx. 6 min) or the Echo Lift (approx. 12 min) to the mountain summit.
