Desert Ultra 2024 - A 250km Ultra Marathon Across Namibia

ENTER THE DESERT ULTRA: https://www.beyondtheultimate.co.uk/r... The 2024 Desert Ultra was an epic, there’s no other way to describe it. From the front to the back our runners showed grit, determination and camaraderie to get across the line, each one of them discovering something new in the process. Jon Shield dominated the Men’s race from start to finish, completing the final stage in 10:14:00. His consistent pace and determination secured his victory with an overall time of 27:39:00, just two hours off the course record, a fitting end to his incredible performance throughout the event. In the Women’s category, Carla Andre displayed unshakable strength, finishing the final stage in 12:58:00. Her total time of 34:13:00 earned her a well-deserved spot as the first female finisher and overall runner-up. Carlos Constantino pushed hard to claim second in the Men’s Race, completing the stage in 12:27:00 for a total of 35:43:00. His tenacity paid off as he narrowly edged out a slowing Kasper Fisker, who held onto Third despite strong challenges, finishing the stage in 14:00:00. In the women’s race, Rosanna Morani faced similar pressure but held her ground, completing the stage in 16:08:00 to take second place among the Women with a total time of 40:48:00. Rosanna was in pieces when she crossed the line, putting herself to hell and back to finish the race. Rose Blackie (3rd female) and Lauren Gregory (4th female) crossed the finish line together, with identical stage times of 15:38:00. Their total times of 42:13:00 and 43:05:00, respectively, reflected their grit and teamwork during tough stretches.
