This is what splitboarding volcanoes in Spring looks like

We spent a fantastic day snowboarding and skiing in the fresh snow of Mt Rainier National Park. The backcountry provided breathtaking views and challenging terrain, making for an unforgettable experience in the mountains. This national park never disappoints with its incredible winter landscapes. A fantastic day of spring splitboarding on Mount Rainier National Park is hard to beat, but crowds are crazy when it's great. This time we left the familiar skin track and after getting up to McClure Rock we dropping into a new, lesser-traveled descent on the east side. Snow was fresh and untouched and we had the slopes to ourselves. Getting down along the Skyline Trail and Golden Gate Trails is a great way when avy danger is not high. This was our first time riding this zone—and it delivered incredible spring snow, solitude, and stunning views of Mt. Rainier. If you’re into splitboarding, backcountry snowboarding, ski touring, and volcano riding in Washington, this line offers a fresh perspective on a classic Paradise area tour.
