North Cascades National Park // The Magic S Loop

I had heard rumors of a remote, magical land far to the North. It was, I heard, a place of dangerous beauty where few people traveled due to the rugged, sprawling, untamed wilderness. Whispers claimed that this mythical piece of terra was a deadly and treacherous land. I set the thought of traveling there aside but finally, after years of satellite enabled peeping, I summoned the courage and traveled to the place they call North Cascades National Park. With my guides Ben and John I shuffled beyond the comfort of the pit toileted parking lot and into the unknown to ski the Magic S Loop. The Magic S Loop is a challenging 20 mile loop with 10,000 feet or so of elevation. It's path travels over numerous passes and glaciers and provides amazing views of some of North Americas most remote mountain peaks.
