REM service disruption: full video of train disruption + manual mode - Saturday, August 19, 2023

Here is the full video of my first re offing of a REM service disruption. On Saturday, August 19, 2023 at approximately 7:08 PM Eastern Canadian Time, for unknown reasons a REM train got stranded just before approaching Panama station in Brossard. Staff had to go outside and manually bring the train back to service. Here you can see a fascinating view of the manual controls on the REM as well you can hear the announcement chimes. The video begins with me on a REM train going in the Central Station direction towards Montreal. Earlier before arriving at the station, I heard an announcement of a service disruption. Once the train stopped, I noticed another train on the opposite tracks stuck just before Panama station. After s few minutes, I went out into the station and decided to keep filming and that's when staff went onto towards the REM train through an emergency exit. I had thought originally that they were going to bring the passengers onto the emergency ramp and into the station. However, staff then manually controlled the train bringing it back into service where it continued on its way safety towards Panama station. You can even see the doors of the station platform open up while the train doors remained closed when it first approached. After it arrived at the station, I decided to go to the front wagon and film the manual controls, a very rare thing to see. I then ultimately got off at du Quartier station where I ended the video. This was really cool to see.
