In this video, we have restored a 70+ years old antique padlock that was completely rusted and left unusable for decades. The lock had no original key, yet it was successfully brought back to life through a step-by-step restoration process: 🔹 Step 1: Removed the old rivets using a grinder machine and carefully disassembled the padlock parts. 🔹 Step 2: Checked the mechanism with a master key to confirm it could still function. 🔹 Step 3: Cleared away years of heavy rust using different cleaning techniques and chemical treatment. 🔹 Step 4: Washed and dried the lock body to stop further corrosion. 🔹 Step 5: Polished and buffed the shackle, latch, and levers to achieve a shiny mirror finish. 🔹 Step 6: Applied protective paint on the padlock body to extend its life. 🔹 Step 7: Reassembled all components carefully and secured them with newly crafted rivets.
