Tom Groggin Track - VHC (Mt Pinnibar region)

Tom Groggin Track is located to the east of Mt Pinnibar and runs between Mount Hope Road and the Murray River crossing at Tom Groggin. The track is a scenic drive that takes you through some amazing forest as you descend into the Murray River valley. Overall track conditions are good, particularly the upper track sections. The lower sections of the track are variously deteriorated with one or two rough, rutted patches to negotiate. The track follows the Tom Groggin Station boundary before heading upstream towards the Murray River crossing. A small detour will take you to Dogman’s Hut which is located at the end of the boundary fence - well worth a visit if you are passing through. The Murray River crossing at Tom Groggin should be approached with care, particularly if the river water level is up. For reference, the river water level is this video when crossing the Murray River was 0.24m at the Biggara Gauge (located downstream). River water level data at the Biggara Gauge can be accessed via the following website: https://riverdata.mdba.gov.au/list-vi.... Tom Groggin Track takes approximately 1-1.5hrs to drive. Note: This is a seasonally closed track. This track was filmed in May 2025.
