Ri-costituente ambientale? Facciamo chiarezza!

These days, the conversation about the Constitution and the environment is returning. In the video, Stefano Maglia, Founder and CEO of TuttoAmbiente, President of Ekofuture, and President of ASSIEA, analyzes the historical and cultural value of the 1948 Constitution, considered one of the most beautiful in the world, born from the collaborative work of the founding fathers after the experience of fascism and the Resistance. He focuses in particular on Article 9, originally dedicated to the protection of the landscape and cultural heritage, highlighting how in the past, attention was focused more on the country's beauty and identity than on environmental protection in the modern sense. The important reform of 2022 updated Articles 9 and 41, explicitly introducing the principles of environmental protection and sustainable development, marking a crucial step in the evolution of the Constitution. The central message of the video is clear: the Constitution can be amended, as provided for in Article 138, but only under certain conditions—when the amendments represent an improvement, are widely supported by political forces, and are practically applicable. A final invitation is extended to viewers to reread Article 41 in particular, to better understand the role of businesses and legislators in promoting sustainable development.
