Free Style Paddle Brush & Fluid Acrylics ● Layer Upon Layer, Creating Endless Movement #fluidart
I’m back with a new Free-Style Paddle Brush & Fluid Acrylics painting — and this one might just be one of my best paintings yet, especially when it comes to composition! The heat of the past few weeks definitely didn’t make the creative process any easier, but once I got into this painting, everything started to fall into place. This piece has a slightly more botanical feel, while still keeping the movement and energy I love in an abstract fluid acrylic painting. One of my biggest challenges — and the next step in my creative process — was to work with layers of different designs. I often start my paintings with a few broad paddle brush strokes to establish the direction and movement of the composition. But once that dynamic is there, I tend to follow it rather than challenge it. This time, I wanted to deliberately break away from that first direction and build something more complex. The goal was to create multiple layers of movement and design without making the painting feel too busy — and, most importantly, without losing its strength. And I think I succeeded! 🙌 To take the painting one step further, I also added some delicate imitation gold leaf accents and touches of blue glitter paint. These subtle details add another layer of texture and shimmer, catching the light beautifully and bringing the whole composition together. Whether you're here to learn more about fluid art techniques or simply enjoy the soothing process of paint in motion, I hope this video inspires you!
