The Winter Harvest Begins | Full Garden Tour

It's the end of June and winter has well and truly settled in here — cold weather at last (though my four peach trees clearly didn't get the memo and are flowering early anyway). The rain hasn't let up either, so the garden is sodden and gumboots are a permanent fixture these days. Not that I mind too much — there's something nostalgic about splashing through puddles again. This week we had some extra help in the garden — my niece and nephew Isla and Mav came over to pull carrots with me. They weren't quite ready (not enough sun in that spot!) but we had fun anyway, and hearing them say it was the best part of their day made it all worthwhile. I've also been harvesting what I can from the garden — including a giant broccoli that was just about to flower, and my first cabbage, which is destined to become sauerkraut soon. Come for a wander through the garden with me and see what winter looks like at the end of June 🌱 🥦 In this video: Winter garden update Harvesting broccoli & cabbage Pulling carrots with my niece & nephew A walk with Ella in the park What's growing (and flowering early!) in the rain
