Soft Hackled Wet Flies: the Pheasant Tail Wet Fly (deliberately includes a problem with the barbs)

The vast majority of fly tying videos try to produce as nice a fly as possible. This video is a bit different from others as I deliberately left in a problem with pheasant tail barb length. I have another video of a similar fly where the problem is dealt with by adding a thorax. Ideally we would try to find a feather with long barbs and/or take the risk of tying in the barbs as close to the tip as we dare. Coping with problems is a big part of fly tying, so I think it's useful to have one or two videos where we discuss how to deal with an issue.
