After my last encounter with two large bluefish in the shallows didn’t go as planned, I’m back, diving in three different spots, determined to land this prized fish. 🌊 I start my quest at the same spot where I last saw them. Right after getting in the water, I manage to catch a grey mullet and head toward the next fishing spot. Along the way, I come across a few little octopuses and take a moment to play with them. After several ambushes, I spot a bluefish, but it doesn’t come close. So, I switch gears and catch some nice pompanos before wrapping up the day. 🐟 The next day, I try another spot where bluefish have been sighted before. I grab a couple of mullets from the murky shallows before heading to the prime area. The scene is set with nervous small fish and a school of baby barracudas swimming by. Soon enough, I catch my first bluefish! With little action after that, the second day draws to a close. 🔱 On the third and final day, I head to one of my favorite spots. Early on, I spot two large bluefish in the shallows, but can’t lure them in. So, I catch a grey mullet and move to the reef in deeper waters. After landing a sharpsnout seabream, I clean it on the spot to attract predators. A few ambushes later, a massive school of bluefish swims right over me. After a long breath-hold, I take a solid shot and successfully land my first bluefish of the day—a truly magnificent moment! Sticking around the reef, I soon manage to secure another one. 💪🏼 Patience and perseverance have paid off! I caught some nice bluefish and experienced some unforgettable moments.
