Removing the old 140mm Exhaust system, Ocean Pirate 59

Welcome to my channel Kingswift where Im right in to rebuilding the Ocean Pirate Brooke 323 former Former Round Britain Racer 1969 & 2008 Progress is slow… but it’s still progress. In this episode, a major decision had to be made on the original 140mm exhaust system and it’s not a small one. After looking deeper into the setup, the risk of harmonics in the aft cabin became a real concern. Stepping from a 90mm feed into a 140mm pipe might seem workable… but in reality, it’s a recipe for noise, vibration, and long-term issues. With twin exhausts, it only makes things worse. So the decision is made the entire exhaust system is coming out. Another job added to the list… but this one had to be done. No shortcuts. No compromises. Do it once, do it right.
