Shaping Tone: Different Metals; Copper & Brass (Trumpet)
"Everything Affects Everything' when it comes to tone production. Mouthpieces are the easiest way to alter tone with a brass instrument but the bell of the instrument is perhaps the next most significant for tone alteration. Two very similar trumpets are compared; a Conn 22B with a brass bell and a Conn 12B VERY SIMILAR but with a totally different bell - one of copper. Headphones, large speakers will enable you to hear the significant difference. Enjoy! :)
