Del Quadro "The Mother" Trumpet with Copper Bell! ACB Show & Tell with Trent Austin

[Links in description] Yeah Mike! Killin' horn! This is "The Mother" by my good friend Mike Del Quadro. Check out that gorgeous, 5.5-inch one-piece copper bell! It has a very long bell ferrule for added stability to the sound, and a fairly small throat to the bell for the diameter of the rim. Really a cool design! 100% handmade in the USA, with Getzen valves (fantastic valve block). Another nice feature is the stress free point-to-point bracing. This horn has a ML bore, combined with Del Quadro's largest leadpipe. It feels free blowing without being too open, and it's a great choice if you tend to prefer large bore horns. Keep in mind bore size is just one factor in how a horn plays. This trumpet feels well balanced and versatile, and it works great with a variety of mouthpiece options: I start out on my ACB MV3C with an acrylic top and our new ACB KGU booster 8:23 Switch to our super deep ACB FX for a much more mellow sound 9:43 Need some zing?
