More “alive.” And that's why I chose the Yak-52. A Soviet trainer designed to train military pilots during the Cold War. A huge aircraft for what it looks like, with cable-operated control surfaces, a brutal radial engine, and a feel very different from any modern fly-by-wire aircraft. There are no filters here. The stick vibrates, stiffens, loosens before a stall, and literally starts transmitting what's happening between the aircraft and the air. And honestly… there are moments during the video that blew my mind. In this video, we're going to test how force feedback behaves in a purely mechanical aircraft: stalls, vibrations, dynamic pressure changes, abrupt maneuvers, G-forces, loops, barrel rolls, approaches, and landings, feeling every movement of the aircraft.
