Transplanting 6,000 Plants for Fall – The Hidden Work Behind a Harvest

We just transplanted 6,000 fall brassica plants — broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, and Brussels sprouts — and got them out of the greenhouse before the summer heat cooked them. This is the kind of long-range planning every farm has to do to stay productive through the fall season. This video gives you a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to stay ahead on a working farm. From using black mulch for weed control and easier irrigation, to the careful timing needed to get these cool-weather crops in the ground during the heat of July, it’s all about planning today for the harvest tomorrow.
