We Just Hand Planted 16,000 GARLIC Cloves for Next Year’s Harvest!

We just hand planted over 16,000 garlic cloves for next year’s harvest! 🌱 The video begins with disking our veggie fields now that the mulch and drip tape have been removed. The goal is to level out the raised beds and help break up any leftover degradable mulch before bringing in the chisel plow to work the ground deeper. Then we move to Joel’s garlic patch, where he explains how he separates bulbs into individual garlic cloves and plants them into raised beds — over 16,000 cloves total this year! I missed most of the planting since I was traveling in the Ozarks visiting Farmer Dre,    • I Visited Farmer Dre’s Orchard…and Was BLO...   but this video shows the process in full. You’ll also see a quick flashback from last year’s garlic video showing Joel’s homemade four-row dibbler — a rolling hole puncher that perfectly spaces the holes in the plastic. Before that, he used to walk the beds wearing spiked wooden shoes to punch the holes… things have come a long way!
