Blackwoods Campground | Park Loop Road | Acadia National Park

In this video, we return to Acadia National Park and take a scenic drive along Park Loop Road, highlighting key sights from the Jordan Pond House to Blackwoods Campground. Along the way, we will show you iconic spots like Jordan Pond, South Bubble, Bubble Rock, Eagle Lake, Cadillac Mountain, the Atlantic Ocean, the Bay of Maine, Sand Beach, the Beehive Trailhead, Thunder Hole, Otter Point, and Otter Cove offering stunning ocean views and peaceful forest landscapes. Many of the parks most popular trailheads are located near or along Park Loop Road. Please note that you’ll need to purchase a pass to enter the park and drive Park Loop Road. After exploring Park Loop Road, we provide an overview of Blackwoods Campground, located on Mount Desert Island within Acadia National Park. This campground is the closest to some of the park’s most popular destinations, including Jordan Pond, North and South Bubble, Cadillac Mountain, Sand Beach, The Beehive Trail, Thunder Hole, Otter Cliffs, and the Bar Island Trail. The campground is quiet, beautiful, and peaceful, with wooded sites that offer plenty of space, ensuring you’re not cramped next to your neighbors. While there are no electric or water hookups at Blackwoods Campground, there is a dump station and a paid shower facility nearby that also offers firewood.
