Seawall Campground Has Something Blackwoods Doesn't

We go from Seawall Campground on the east side of Mount Desert Island to the Blackwoods Campground on the west side of the island - just a short 1/2 hr. drive! 😜 The mossy rocks amidst the trees give off a very magical vibe st our new campsite, and Alexis quickly gets to work building a Fairy village complete with school house and playground! Now that we are closer to Rose Eden Lobster, we decide to go get Lobster #5 🦞🦞🦞🦞🦞 Rose Eden Lobster was where I got my birthday lobster , and so far it’s definitely been the best of them all! We kind of thought lobster was lobster, but that’s not entirely true. 🧐 It was earlier in the afternoon, so it wasn’t very busy and this gave us a chance to learn more about their lobster business. Dad’s the lobster fisherman while Mom and their two daughters (16 and 18) run the eatery. I didn’t catch how long they’ve been running it, but it's been at least 16 years. The daughters were especially enamored with Alexis and her entourage of Wellie Wishers as they had both been huge American Girl fans when they were younger. If you ever make it to Mount Desert Island, Rose Eden Lobster is the best!!! After our delicious meal of lobster, clams, and corn, we head to downtown Bar Harbor to walk the Shore Path - a beautiful, historic path dating back to 1880! We also see the sailboat in Bar Harbor that Jason and I went on back when we came here over 20 years ago! 😍⛵️🌊😍 On our way back to the truck, we walk by an ice cream shop with Maine Blueberry 🫐 Soft Serve 🍦 that we have to give a try!
