Trip Recap + Last Day in the UK

This video recaps our family travel adventures in Fall 2022, our biggest family trip yet. We spent a full month in Europe with our kids, exploring parts of England, Wales, Scotland, and France. ✨ SUBSCRIBE & join our journey! ✈️➡️    / createplaytravel   Because we traveled during the school year, we packed the kids' homeschool workbooks. We also embraced worldschooling; exploring museums, historic cities, and several castles along the way. After four weeks of discovery, we wrapped up our trip with one final day in London before flying home. Our journey was full of incredible experiences. In England, we explored the city of London, visited the British Museum, and walked by Big Ben and Buckingham Palace. One of the most memorable adventures was renting a narrowboat and learning to open the canal locks along the Grand Union Canal. In Wales, we hiked the beautiful Four Waterfalls Walk. In Scotland, we explored Edinburgh and visited the National Museum of Scotland. We also spent a week in France, where we explored the medieval village of Tourrettes-sur-Loup, visited Nice, wandered the walled city of Carcassonne, and even swam in the Mediterranean Sea. Near the end of our trip, we visited the iconic Seven Sisters white chalk cliffs and then spent a few relaxing days in Brighton before heading back to London. (cliffs mistakenly labeled White Cliffs of Dover.) On our last day in the UK, we stayed in an innovative pod-style hotel room in Piccadilly Circus, which the kids thought was so fun. We visited Liberty and explored the many themed rooms filled with unique merchandise. Our kids especially loved seeing the Lego model of the Liberty store. We finished the day with afternoon tea at Theatre Royal Drury Lane, where the kids sampled all kinds of treats. Before leaving London, we stopped by Jubilee Market Hall to pick up souvenirs and took our final photos in front of Big Ben. Until next time, Europe!
