Defensa de Ernesto Ruffo denuncia irregularidades y habla de “justicia selectiva”

The president of the Emilio Rabasa Bar Association of Baja California, Francisco Castro Trenti, questioned the legal proceedings against former governor Ernesto Ruffo Appel, arguing that there were irregularities in obtaining the arrest warrant and that the case reflects “selective justice.” The lawyer pointed out that the first arrest warrant was rejected for lack of evidence and that a new warrant was granted days later, after the former governor was included in the investigation. Castro Trenti also criticized the arrest operation, asserting that it violated the former governor's human rights and demanding that the process be conducted in accordance with due process. He further questioned why other investigations related to hydrocarbon seizures in Baja California, in which former officials from the Morena party have been implicated, have not seen similar progress.
