Tensions between Israel and Lebanon have been escalating since Thursday night until Friday (June 5, 2026). At least four civilians were killed and dozens injured in the attacks, as Israel bombed the towns of Nabatiyeh and Tyre, southern Lebanon. This situation has triggered a wave of refugees after the Israeli military issued new threats of attacks on these areas. The deadly Israeli attack on Duweir near Nabatiyeh also destroyed a building. Two civilians were killed after Israeli strikes hit the Habbush District in the same Nabatiyeh region. The Israeli military also bombed six towns in Nabatiyeh and two buildings in Deir Zehrani. The attack reportedly killed one person at Burj Qalawai and injured 12 people near Jabal Amil Hospital in Tyre. The explosion that destroyed a bank building devastated the area. Israel ordered residents to stay 1 km away from the area, triggering an exodus north of the Zehrani River. Israeli targets in southern Lebanon expanded following the collapse of the US ceasefire.
