Progettare scuole insieme tra pedagogia, architettura e design | Beate Weyland | TEDxMontebelluna

Beate Weyland discusses school spaces, which are, on the one hand, mirrors of a way of thinking and working, and on the other, powerful pedagogical devices. She will show us a possible way to design places of knowledge culture as spaces of well-being for all. Beate Weyland is associate professor of didactics at the Faculty of Education at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano. Her research explores the relationship between pedagogy, architecture, and design in the transformation and development of schools, and explores the quality of shared design. She works within the PULS and PAD collective, a group of pedagogists, architects, and designers. The collective promotes studies, exhibitions, and conferences internationally to raise awareness of the relationship between spaces and teaching and to provide pedagogical information to the material body of the school. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
