Subtract a maximum of 5 stitches on each side: 1st portion: 3 stitches, then 2nd portion: 2 decreases. Remember that the back and front will have the same number of stitches. Only 2 or 3 stitches can be added to the front neckline. To calculate the neckline and shoulders, the neckline is the most important: measure the desired cm and the remaining stitches will correspond to the shoulders. When made with increases, for example, 3 on each side, the neckline also matters. With set-in sleeves, we achieve tailored garments, since the number of stitches required to obtain the shoulder-to-shoulder measurement is removed from the armhole. It is divided by three to calculate the shoulders and neckline (adding a few more stitches to the neckline). With this armhole, the front allows for more stitches to be cast on (either for the bust or because my back is narrow), since more stitches can be removed until the same number of stitches are obtained as the back on the shoulders and neckline. More stitches can be cast off in the first section, and single and double decreases can be alternated in the second section for a better fit. With this set-in sleeve, the back shoulder is cast off in one piece, since the knitted garment tends to fall backward on women's garments. On the front, the shoulder is cast off three times.
