Keep reading and you'll find more information related to this video and links to other playlists. To calculate the drop sleeve, the forearm width in cm doesn't matter. I must calculate the stitches to cover those cm of armhole height. The calculation is done with the back piece knitted. Then I'll remove the same stitches I removed from the armhole. If I increased 3 stitches on the body, the sleeve will end with at least 3 shortened rows on each side. This is for a better shape when sewing. For a set-in sleeve, the armhole height rows are the most important, minus the rows where the sleeve head will be sewn. I should subtract +/- 4 cm (8-10 rows less), and these will be the cap rows. It is the forearm width, cap rows, and sleeve head stitches. Decreases will be made on all knit rows. If I have stitches missing or extra, I will prorate them. Do not decrease every few rows or make double decreases.
