One of Portnoy's Favorites! Is LUIGI's in Brooklyn Worth the Hype?

Luigi's Pizza is Park Slope has been around for decades. It is one of the more lowkey Brooklyn pizza spots, but it has a dedicated cult following. So much so that even after all these years, Luigi's is still regarded as one of the best pizza shops in NYC, even when there are so many other amazing pizza restaurants in NYC now, like more modern style spots like Mama's Too and L'industrie Pizzeria. Most notably, David Portnoy of One Bite Pizza Reviews gave it a very high score of 9.3. Is it that good? We made the trek from New Jersey all the way to Brooklyn to try this old school spot.
