To make this whelk pasta recipe: Ingredients: • 2 kg cooked whelks • 300 g shell-shaped pasta • 250 g soft salted butter • 4 garlic cloves • 1 bunch parsley Steps: 1 - Peel the garlic. Wash, pat dry, and strip the parsley leaves, then finely chop it with the garlic using a knife. Mix everything with the softened butter and chill. 2 - Shell the whelks by removing the intestine (which usually remains in the shell) and the operculum. Place them in a sauté pan. 3 - Cook the pasta in boiling salted water for the time recommended on the package. Drain, reserving the cooking water. Add it to the whelks with 4 good spoonfuls of butter and 1 ladleful of cooking water. Heat everything through, stirring carefully, and serve immediately.
