Rock cottage is a 250 year old dote of a cottage that we are renovating as a family project. It’s a huge milestone at Rock Cottage — the floors are finally in! In this week’s video, we’re walking through the cottage to show you the beautiful new limestone and reclaimed terracotta floors that we hope will last for another 100 years. We’re also revealing the full cost of the project — and if you’ve never priced up reclaimed tiles before, you might be surprised. We take you through what we chose, where we sourced it from, and what each part of the project set us back. Our Flooring Suppliers: • Parlour Floor (Limestone): Sourced from the brilliant team at Lubelska. • Kitchen Floor (Original Terracotta): Salvaged from the cottage itself! • Master bedroom, dressing room and ensuite(Mixed Terracotta): Sourced from Broughshane Reclamation Yard. • Library and Hallway (Terracotta): Sourced from Pluckmill Reclamation Yard.
