Gracie is doing much better and time will tell if Odin eventually gets it too. In the middle of another heatwave, the irony of preparing for winter is not lost on us. But dry conditions are actually ideal for water related work, and there is plenty of it still to do. Odin lends a hand cleaning out the chicken coop, Philippe finishes the conduit box that brings all the underground utilities together, though not without a setback when the concrete mixer breaks down. The IBC tank we ordered finally arrives and gets its first rinse. Jackery also came through with an expansion for our solar setup, which Philippe walks you through. In the veggie garden things are coming along despite the heat and Philippe starts on the moat project between the driveway and the embankment, cleans it, levels it and gets the first load of large stones from the quarry. And then the heavy work begins.
