The Meaning of the Cain and Abel Story - Bible Secrets Explained by Kabbalah

We continue revealing the secrets of the Torah from the point where Adam and Eve are exiled from the Garden of Eden. As we discussed before, the whole story happens inside of the person, even more precisely in the fetus part of us, in a preliminary form, all events describing our own inner qualities that originate from absolute higher spiritual qualities. In their original spiritual state, these qualities all worked in bestowal and love, outside of self-interest. This state is called “paradise”—the state of absolute bestowal, love, complete independence of the ego, total freedom. We, who are born into the prison of the ego cannot imagine this state of paradise. We have no free choice, but are born into and live in the prison of the ego. This is our current life, in which we do not know that we have no free choice. Our original qualities came from a very different reality and have now fallen into this reality. This does not mean a physical discernment but a qualitative one. Our qualities became completely inverted from what they were in the upper reality, and today we live in this inverted state. This state is called a descent, or the exile from the Garden of Eden to this vicious land or desire. (In Hebrew, the words “land” [“Eretz”] and desire [“Ratzon”] share the same root). Our contemporary physical existence is felt like life in these egoistic desires that constantly develop, leading to a point where we understand that we can no longer exist in them. We are still talking about qualities only, The physical man and this world do not exist in this state yet. This is an inner state of the created desire feeling itself in the quality of bestowal, connected to the Creator, the desire feeling itself fulfilled with the upper light. When the quality of the desire suddenly changes from bestowal to egotistically using and sucking everything to itself, like black holes drawing everything toward themselves, the desire starts feeling itself in the quality of this world. The original, perfect, infinite, and eternal picture of creation, the desire feeling itself in the field of the upper light, inverts this closed micro-picture of the physical universe into people on this small planet who develop through a growing selfish desire. If we again invert the desire back to its original state, the sense of this physical universe will disappear and we will discover ourselves once again in the light of the Creator. We have already started our way back to that state from the moment we started sensing ourselves in this world. This process starts from feeling our current state is the most corrupt one. From this feeling, we will come to a reluctant decision to get out of this state in any possible way, by changing our perception of reality through the quality of bestowal. Then instead of sensing a corporeal world full of problems and conflicts through selfish reception, we will feel paradise through altruistic bestowal. Through such a transformation, the entire picture of the universe changes, since, by changes unfolding in the observer, the observed reality also changes.
