The Book of Judges, 1st Chapter - Joshua the Mediator

In this video, Kabbalist Dr. Michael Laitman discusses the book of Judges when the people of Israel enter the Land of Canaan. Before this event, we discussed how Moses led the people to this point of entry, but he himself could not enter and was buried outside of the Land in an unknown grave. Moses could not enter as the conditions were not set yet for the final correction of the nation, so Moses did not have the right yet to be at the level called “the Land of Israel.” This means a desire ("land" or "Eretz" in Hebrew comes from the word "desire" [Ratzon]) that is directly aimed at the Creator in mutual bestowal, adhesion with Him, and this condition only exists in the last generation, which is our generation. In terms of a person’s internal development, entry to Israel means the following. The person is Adam, symbolizing the whole of creation, and we are all parts of this single soul. This single soul is the sum-total of all of our spiritual qualities, everything that exists in each of us creates this single spiritual form called "Adam." From generation to generation, parts of this single entity go through their correction in order to become like the Creator. When this is completed and we reach equivalence with the Creator, we reach final correction and the Creator fills this entity called Adam, the general soul. Then, from our world, we reach the highest state through all the spiritual worlds, fulfilling them all. This is the state of final correction, Gmar Tikkun. In our times, called "the last generation," we have started the final phase of this process, by correcting the lowest level of the general soul. All the people who feel themselves existing separately are building such internal connections so they truly feel as one man with one heart. Billions of souls particles are uniting into a single spiritual structure. The only thing that exists is the one common soul and the only desire the Creator created. Everything we grasp is only through what happens in this desire. To the extent we get closer to each other, this single general desire will be revealed until we feel ourselves existing in one desire, intention, one thought, and then we come to the point that we feel “as one,” interdependent and perfectly coordinated within. Simple everyday people do not feel the system called Torah, i.e., the system of "instruction" or "light." They simply live like little animals, developing instinctively and blind to the causal forces playing out behind their lives. Like children who develop gradually, the person feels one’s individuality and personality develop. We then have to treat the person according to his individual personality, “raise the youth according to his way,” as the writing says. Through this individualism we reveal the shattered soul, the shattering being fully revealed in its last stage in our times. We thus now have to correctly understand and realize our role, destiny, and vocation in the system with the help of the Torah. The entire system of all interactions of all parts of creation between themselves on all 4 levels (still, vegetative, animate, and speaking). The system of the interactions between them and their correction will bring the whole system into mutuality and balance called the system of Torah. This is the realization of the shattered parts and desires of the single soul. So I need the Torah when I consciously want to come out of the revealed, shattered state, correcting everything into a single system. Before that, I do not need the Torah. For millions of years, humanity existed without this conscious need. Even today most people do not need this. Before this, we go through an unconscious period of development like a child who goes through an instinctive early development unaware, automatically, driven by the inner egoistic desire leading the person through clear calculations of reward and punishment.
