Noah and the Flood – Bible Secrets Explained by Kabbalah

Noah and the Flood. Noah in Hebrew also means “comfortable,” i.e. the Creator feels comfortable with him, as the writing says, “he was most righteous in his generation.” Noah’s generation, like our own, was not that great. Noah was a very special man on a unique level of attainment, development, and sensation called “the revelation of the Creator.” This means the revelation of all the forces of nature. We can imagine that he was not an ordinary person. This is also a symbol of the first special revelation of the Creator. It takes place when we start understanding that, against the upper force, we have to act through self-annulment. This does not mean erasing our sense of self, i.e. our analysis, synthesis, and perception of reality. On the contrary, it means the annulment of our egoistic nature, which is actually not our own. With the help of two forces, egoism and altruism, we can be in balance and discover our true sense of self. We find ourselves precisely in the balance between the two forces of egoism and altruism, like being in the exact middle point of a scale. By balancing the two forces of egoism and altruism, we can reach the understanding that they come from above, from the Creator, from nature, as the right and left, positive and negative. By combining these two forces inside ourselves, we discover our point of free choice and progress as such. If it were not for balancing these two forces, then we would be in a single force of egoism with no free choice at all in our lives. The purpose of our being here is to take the reins of our lives into our own hands, which in its ultimate definition, means to rise to the degree of the Creator. Noah displays the beginning of this system. He sees that any other method that tries to egoistically exploit the system for self-benefit is evil and will be destroyed. People will destroy themselves through them. Noah sees that all that is left to do is listen and accept the law of rising above the ego through self-annulment. This is the essence of the story of Noah.
