However, when you climb up to the top of the building, it's like another world! The beautiful sea stretches out before you, and you can see a wonderful view from the high ground. It truly feels like you've come to heaven. The wonderful point of this place isn't just the location! This restaurant is run by a fisherman's family, and you can eat fresh local fish that the fisherman has caught. A restaurant like this is rare on Koh Tao, and as far as we know, this is the only one! We went around noon, and the fisherman had just returned, so we were able to eat truly fresh-caught fish. Lunchtime was great, but I think you can also have a wonderful dinner while enjoying the view from evening until night. Besides fish, it's also a place where you can see many living creatures, as small sharks and sea turtles also inhabit the area. We often stay in this area when we go to Koh Tao. Especially recommended is Rocky Resort, which has cottages over the sea and is available at an affordable price. This place is hard to spot from the outside, but it has few people and a calm atmosphere, truly earning the name "hidden gem."
