Guyanese Sweet Rice/Kheer || Meeta Bhaat || Collaboration with Trini-Indian Kitchen- Episode 79

Sweet rice, also known as kheer or rice pudding is a rich and creamy dessert that is usually made for Jhandis (Hindu prayer services) or Hindu Weddings. It's commonly eaten with puri (thin flatbread fried in ghee) and gurma/gurumba (sweet mango dessert), but it can easily be eaten with the help of a spoon. I hope you enjoy my grandmother's recipe for sweet rice! _________________________________________________________________ Navin's Sweet Rice Recipe-    • Sweet Rice (Kheer/Meeta Bhaat) Recipe - Co...   Navin's Channel (Trini-Indian Kitchen)-    / @trini-indiankitchen1540   Navin's Instagram- @navinvsingh _________________________________________________________________ Bedessee Imports: http://bedessee.com/us/ Facebook Page:   / bedesseeimportsinc   _________________________________________________________________ Ingredients and Measurements: 1/2 cup rice (washed and soaked for 20-30 minutes) 1/4 cup soaked raisins (optional) 1/4 cup soaked and chopped glace/Maraschino cherries (optional) 2-3 cups water (depending on the brand of rice you use) 1 cup whole milk 1 can evaporated milk 3/4 cup condensed milk 1 cinnamon stick 4 cloves _________________________________________________________________ Check out some of my other videos!
