For Eurovision 1996, Germany had chosen Leon with the song Planet of Blue. However, the 1996 ESC qualification jury put Germany and Leon out, which led to the Big 5-rule. Planet of Blue remains an ESC fan-favorite to this day, and many people wonder how it would have fared if it had actually gotten into Eurovision.
