How Eurovision SPLIT A Country
Serbia and Montenegro was a Eurovision powerhouse. When Evropesma/Eurosong 2006 favorite Ludi Letnji Ples (Crazy Summer Dance) by Serbian duo Flamgosi lost the selection to Montenegrin band No Name, it would mark one of the most controversial moments in Eurovision history and potentially had implications for the union state of Serbia and Montenegro as a whole. This is the story of how a Eurovision entry potentially contributed to the breakup of an entire nation, through the 2006 Montenegro independence referendum. Also, this is only my second video, so please comment any feedback you may have! 🙏 -- Timestamps -- 00:00 Intro 00:52 A Country of Two 02:08 Evropesma 2006 03:35 The Voting 04:44 Stopping The Steal 06:18 The Referendum 08:41 Prediction of The Century (lol) 09:29 Outro & Thanks :)
