The QUEEN of COLDRIDE: Alex Burk Races a Winter Ultra

Alex Burk is a highly accomplished multi-disciplinary athlete, full time veterinarian and one of the absolute nicest humans you'd ever have a chance to meet. She's also an absolute force of nature on a bike. Any bike. Along with a full lineup of some of the strongest women riders around, Alex tackles the second annual COLDRIDE CRANBROOK, using her training, competitive edge and positive attitude to challenge the 130km course through unseasonably dry and icy conditions. Coldride Cranbrook is community building fat bike winter ultra-ish event that promises cold temperatures, warm vibes and a big challenge across two different distances: 55km (The Freezie) and 130km (The Big Chill) courses. Beyond being a cycling race, Coldride is committed to providing an inclusive, safe, welcoming atmosphere with a focus on supporting locals causes. Huge thanks to Alex for putting up with me all day, and another round of gratitude to the event organizers, sponsors and especially to all our fellow racers out there. Give Alex a follow. Send her some kudos on Strava. If you're involved with a brand, consider setting her up with some product and watch how far and how high she can carry it. I cannot wait to see where she takes her skills, watts and willpower next.
