Brief about Venugopal Lalgeri: Venugopal Pandurang Lalgeri is an engineering leader with over 18 years of experience across automotive, electronics, and consumer durables industries. Currently serving as Assistant Manager – Engineering at International Automotive Components (IAC), Pune, he leads the FMEA Centre of Excellence, driving design risk management, product safety, and reliability across key automotive interior systems. His expertise spans product development, DFMEA/PFMEA, quality systems, value engineering, innovation management, and regulatory compliance. Previously, at Minda Instruments, he led end-to-end development of automotive instrument clusters, delivering around 10% bill-of-material cost reductions through Value Analysis and Value Engineering (VAVE) while maintaining product performance and customer satisfaction. His career also includes leadership roles at KPIT Technologies, Whirlpool, Haier, and Videocon, providing extensive exposure to telematics, EV systems, infotainment platforms, embedded technologies, and high-volume manufacturing. Known for combining technical rigor with strategic thinking, Venugopal has built a strong reputation in risk management, quality governance, innovation, and operational excellence. As a Certified FMEA Specialist, Product Safety & Conformity Representative (PSCR), Six Sigma Green Belt, and innovation leader, he has championed evidence-based decision-making, independent reviews, and proactive risk prevention. His leadership extends to mentoring teams, training engineers, and fostering quality-driven cultures. With experience leading organization-wide FMEA governance, innovation initiatives, customer-supplier collaboration, and cost optimization programs, he brings valuable board-level capabilities in risk oversight, compliance, technology strategy, stakeholder management, and sustainable value creation. His long-term ambition is to contribute to boardrooms where engineering, governance, innovation, and business stewardship intersect.
