EPISODE #181 RS Sign & Weeding

Today I started and ended the day with weeding. I did NOT get to the raking in the play area done though, and I am disappointed by that, BUT super excited about the weeding that was done. It is too bad that it was not done for the family get together. 😊 After the first bout of weeding, I came in for lunch and then started on the RS sign I have. It may end up being an indoor signage though, as the metal portion of the sign will need to anchor to the base of the painted design. I used an old wall clock we had at work. It broke and we were unable to repair it. I had it in my office for a while as I loved it, and was hoping to find a replacement just like it, but I could not find one anywhere. I decided to use for the sign, and started by tracing the metal design onto a white plastic corrugated board. I ended up patching it but it is not looking that great. I will have to make sure that it is perfectly flat in order to camouflage the glued portion. Once the metal piece is over the painting, it will camouflage where the painting is glued, so I am not too worried about it. I like how it turned out; I just have to figure out a way to secure the metal sign, to the painting encased in the clock. After I finished, I went back out and managed to weed the portion in front of the cottage below the deck. It looks so much better. I will have to keep on top of this area here until we build the deck. At that time there will be landscape cloth on the ground to eliminate weeds, so this will only occur until we get the deck built. My holiday has now come to an end and I am so pleased with all the projects that were completed during this time. I am thrilled with how the property is looking. and I am looking forward to further progress going forward.
