How Lightfast Are My Watercolour Paints? Setting Up Swatch Test Charts for my Biggest Sets!

A lot of artist-grade watercolors have lightfastness ratings, but are they ACTUALLY lightfast? I've been wondering this for a while now, so I guess the only way to find out is to swatch out all of my paints and hang them up in a sunny window! Now, my paint collection is very large, so today I am going to swatch out the three biggest sets in which I have all of the colours in their ranges; Sennelier, Holbein and Kuretake Gansai Tambi. This is an ongoing project so there won't be any actual results today, but please do subscribe for future videos when we can follow-up in a few months' to a year's time, to see if there are any changes to the paints when they've been exposed to daily natural light, including direct sunlight! How will they compare with the control swatches that are kept in the dark? Let's find out together!
