Critical Color Principles Nobody Seems to Be Talking about!

Immersive watercolor paintings have one thing in common – strong mood that creates a visceral feeling! And that strong mood is a result of narrower, more intentional color choices. In this video, I will show you the 3 key principles for building a highly curated color palette, in order to create that strong and cohesive mood for your watercolor landscape paintings. I will breakdown many common scenarios such as dealing with a colorful subject or reference photo, how warm and cool colors work, understand how far you can push colors, when to pull back on colors, and share tips of how colors in watercolor behave differently than oil or pastel, due to the highly transparent nature of this medium.
