British Couple SHOCKED by Alabama's Paradise Beach 🇺🇸 (Flora-Bama)

📍Flora-Bama, USA 🇺🇸 We started in Orange Beach, where the Gulf looks unreal. Blue water like polished glass. White sand that feels sifted. A coastline that slows your breathing without asking permission. Lunch at Tacky Jack’s. Cocktails sweating in the heat. A white fish po-boy handed over by a Cajun girl with a smile that felt like old music on the radio. Seafood tastes different when the ocean is right beneath your feet. We tried to find the Alabama–Florida line. A Louisianan with a weekend condo told us we were already in Florida. We talked taxes, hurricanes, why people stay when the storms keep coming. The kind of honest, front porch talk that tells you more about a place than any guidebook. Then the liquor store. Wild in the best way. People laughing, arguing, scratching lottery tickets like their lives depended on it. Free shots at the counter. Buster from Tuscaloosa telling us how he traded bleachers and traffic for salt air and second chances. Out on the bay, a dolphin tore through the water as the sun went down behind mansions that looked out of place but also exactly right. This coast is contradictions stacked on top of each other. Then Flora-Bama. We walked in calm, intending to observe. Ten minutes later we were shotgunning Twisted Teas with LSU fans, dancing to live music, losing track of time.
