Inside Alabama's WEALTHIEST Region 🇺🇸

📍Birmingham, Alabama 🇺🇸 We started the day at Niki’s West, where the line moves like a river and the air smells of fried green tomatoes. Reuben Foster told us to come here, and you don’t question a man like that. It’s the kind of southern joint that makes you understand why people fall in love with the region, loud, generous, and full of character. Then we drove east to Mountain Brook, Alabama’s wealthiest city. Three villages make up this place, English Village, Mountain Brook Village, and Crestline, each one quiet and proud, with streets lined by old English homes and magnolia trees. We wandered into bakeries that smelled of butter and espresso, traded smiles with locals, and paused at the Japanese Gardens, where the world seemed to slow down for a moment. A man named Billy pointed us toward Otey’s Tavern in Crestline, but before we could get there, a firefighter waved us into the Mountain Brook Fire Department. Inside, they showed us their gym, told us stories from the job, and sent us off with some MBFD merch and a handshake that said everything about southern hospitality. We ended the day at Otey’s, cold beer in hand, talking life with Billy. The kind of day that reminds you how wealth isn’t just about the houses or cars, it’s in the warmth of the people who call a place home. 👨🏻‍💻 Give us a follow on your favorite social media:   / jackaynsleytravel     / jackaynsleytravel   &   / paigeaynsleytravel     / jackaynsleytravel   &   / paigeaynsleytravel   👋🏼 Support us!
