This is the seed sown on the way. 20 This is the seed sown on rocky ground. When he hears the word, he immediately accepts it with joy. 21 But he has no root in himself and does not last long. So when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, he immediately stumbles. 22 This is the seed sown among thorns. He hears the word, but the worries of the world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, so that it bears no fruit. 23 This is the seed sown on good soil. When he hears the word, he understands it.
