Like previous installments in the series, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is based on the literary works of Andrzej Sapkowski, but is not a direct adaptation of any of his books. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition is a special edition of the action RPG titled The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The game is the result of the work of the creators of the original game – the Polish studio CD Projekt RED. The bundle includes the base game and all additional content released after its launch, as well as two major story expansions: Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine. On December 14, 2022, developers at CD Projekt RED released a free "next-gen" update for The Witcher 3. During the investigation, the White Wolf uncovers the dark secrets of this idyllic place—only seemingly so. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Complete Edition features a third-person perspective (TPP). The game offers a vast world divided into several large maps that can be freely explored. These include locations such as the picturesque land of Velen, the Kaer Morhen fortress, home to the witchers of the Wolf School, the Skellige islands, and finally, the land of Toussaint from the Blood and Wine expansion. We can traverse them on foot, on horseback (Geralt's trusty steed, Roach, can be summoned at any time with a whistle), or by boat. The game is driven by quests that advance the plot, during which we conduct investigations, hunt monsters, and engage in political games. Furthermore, there are numerous side missions and optional activities, such as destroying monster nests, waiting to be explored. Interestingly, the virtual world is somewhat dynamic, and our actions can, for example, cause an abandoned village to become populated when Geralt eliminates nearby bandits or monsters.
