DQ5「大海原へ」を聴き比べ＆リミックスしてみた～ゲーム音源比較：スーパーファミコン／PS2／DS／スマートフォン

This video compares the track "Into the Great Ocean" from "Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride" as heard when you board the ship, across four versions: Super Famicom, PlayStation 2, Nintendo DS, and Smartphone. I've also made a remix using these four versions. Although this song serves as the ship theme in DQV, many may remember it more as the music from the game's prologue. Whenever I hear it, the scene that comes to mind is the young hero traveling by ship with his father, Papas. The emotional tone of the music feels like it hints at the hardships the journey ahead will bring. The arrangements don't differ much between versions; the Super Famicom sticks to its hardware limitations, while the others are primarily orchestral. The remix is based on the DS version, but I did my best to bring out the distinct sound of the Super Famicom, which often gets buried in other mixes—let me know what you think!
